Dr. Paul Venuto, PT, DPT is the clinical manager for Doctors of Physical Therapy’s on-site clinic at PGT Industries in North Venice, Florida.
He graduated from the University of Miami in 1998 with a Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He advanced his education and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in 2011. During his 17 year career he has been a clinician, director, and educator. He has treated patients aged 10 to 100 with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary dysfunction in the outpatient and home health settings.
He is passionate about educating his patients about their condition, the rehab process and empowers them to be proactive in the rehabilitation process so that when their treatment has concluded they have the skills and knowledge to stay physically healthy.
His treatment philosophy incorporates injury prevention through analysis of body mechanics, identify any potential faulty movement patterns that may lead to pain and injury. From that analysis Dr. Venuto develops a unique rehabilitation program unique to that patient. This approach leads to improved outcomes and decreased reoccurrence of injury.
Most recently, Dr. Venuto was an instructor at a local Physical Therapist Assistant school and served as the program’s internship coordinator. He taught courses in Therapeutic Exercise, Rehabilitation, Modalities, Tests and Measurements, Medical Diseases, and is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor.
He is a member of both the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) and has served as an FPTA District Leader as both Treasurer and Chief Representative.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, and running.
