Dr. Janet Morioka

Janet Morioka, PT, DPT graduated from Lewis University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and then continued her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2017. While attending UIC, she gained valuable experience with the orthopedic and neuromuscular populations, treating patients with a variety of conditions. She also treated vestibular, dizziness and concussion patients. She has largest interest in treating orthopedic, sports, and vestibular conditions.

Janet’s passion for physical therapy began after seeing her brother tear his ACL and go through rehab to return to playing volleyball. She learned the importance on utilizing a patient focused treatment program to return patients to their prior level of function.

Janet enjoys working with patients of all ages. She understands that each patient is unique and strongly believes in providing each patient with an individualized program that meet their needs and focuses on movement within the body as a whole. She spends ample time educating each patient on their diagnosis, goals, and plan of care to allow them to fully understand their treatment program. She uses a variety of different treatment techniques during each session, tailored to each individual based on their needs.


In her free time, Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, playing volleyball, reading, and volunteering within the community.
