Mark Stevens, MBA, MPT received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance and worked in the business world for 15 years. After multiple knee surgeries and having the opportunity to experience the benefits of physical therapy personally, Mark decided to make a career change to become a physical therapist.
Mark earned his physical therapy degree at Midwestern University in 1998. During his P.T. program, he had the opportunity to travel on a mission trip to Poland to work alongside other therapists, distributing and fitting individuals with wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers who had seldom had the opportunity to leave their homes due to limited access to healthcare and rehabilitation. This opportunity solidified for Mark that he wanted to become a therapist to be able to have a powerful and positive impact on people’s lives.
Mark strives to increase his physical therapy skills through continued education in various areas of physical therapy. He has worked with people in aquatic therapy for over 15 years, as well as gaining extensive training in manual therapy, dry needling, and vestibular rehabilitation.
Mark has a passion for helping individuals restore and return to their functional lifestyle, as well as educating them on how to maintain their daily and active lifestyle. Since 1999, Mark has worked with people of all ages and conditions in an outpatient orthopedic setting. When Mark is not in the clinic, he is hanging out with his wife and kids, riding his bicycle, hiking or working out.
