About me
Dr. Lovering is especially interested in improving the lives of patients with balance impairments. Since graduating, Allison earned a clinical board certification in geriatrics. She has also been certified in LSVT Big, a dynamic balance program for patients living with Parkinson’s disease. She has realized the benefits of providing an inclusive exercise program for all patients living with balance difficulties, through her experiences with patients in a variety of settings.
Growing up as an athlete, Allison also learned the important role physical therapists have in returning athletes to sport. Her 10+ years of experience in outpatient physical therapy has shaped her passion for working with active patients who sustain orthopedic injuries. These injuries include but are not limited to ankle and foot pathologies, back pain, shoulder pain and post- operative rehabilitation. Allison’s main goal as a Doctor of Physical Therapy is to understand a patient’s injury within the function of the whole body system, moving beyond symptoms to ensure that the root cause is addressed. With that perspective, Dr. Lovering can determine the best course of treatment for each individual patient through a combination of skilled manual therapy and specific functional exercises.
