Post-operative Rehabilitation (RTC surgeries, SLAP and Bankart repairs, total hips, total knees
About me
I have always maintained a hard work ethic through earning my degrees and my work as a physical therapist. I really enjoy and thrive treating orthopedic shoulder injuries both surgical and non-surgical. I have pursued different courses to understand more about the shoulder and ways to advance patients through treatment. It’s important to work on subtle nuances with posture and functional mechanics to ensure my patients are learning new patterns and ways to move more efficiently. I am interested in learning even more about strength and conditioning to apply to patient care.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Northern Illinois University
Bachelor of Science, Northern Illinois University
PERSONAL INTERESTS
I was born and raised in Dekalb. I have three nephews and one niece through marriage, and I love watching them grow. In my spare time, I love spending time outdoors in the sun, walking my dogs, and reading fantasy novels. This year I would like to learn more about gardening, get involved in a yoga or pilates and continue traveling around the world.
