Where we come from
ProActive Physical Therapy grew across San Diego County on one belief: every patient, at every age, deserves focused, individualized treatment. Six clinics later, from Carlsbad to National City, that belief hasn’t moved an inch.

Built from zero, built for patients
Founder Aaron Kraai started folding towels at a physical therapy clinic at age 14. He opened the first Doctors of Physical Therapy clinic in 2005 and built the company from nothing, with one goal: a PT organization where clinicians lead, patients win, and excellence is non-negotiable.
Today that network spans clinician-led clinics nationwide. ProActive Physical Therapy is proud to be part of it, same trusted local team, now backed by a national standard of care.

Our scheduling team reaches out to your patient the same day the referral arrives.
We send periodic updates and notes so you can follow your patient’s progress through care.
